TICBioMed is a non-for-profit association that promotes eHealth (ICT for Healthcare). Its members are healthcare organizations (public and private), IT companies (large and SMEs) and Universities, collaborating together as an ecosystem to facilitate the use of technology to improve Health. The cluster is the coordinator of the FP7 European Projects READi for Health and GET, and the organizer of the EU SME eHealth Competition.
The association has submitted a proposal for the Horizon 2020 consultation on the Health Work Programme 2016-2017. Its objective is to develop a ´roadmap to accelerate the market success of ICT for Health innovations´. The focus is in promoting the market take-up of ICT for Health innovations, but concentrating on the business aspects rather than the technological ones.
In order to maximize its chances of success, TICBioMed requests the support of other organizations that agree with the focus of the proposal. Once collected, the cluster will send the expressions of support to the European Commission and the National representatives of the Health Work Programme. We plan to close the first round by the 18th of September 2014.
Those that support this initiative will receive updates about its status. Furthermore, since this is a topic where TICBioMed has a deep interest, we will also let you know about other initiatives to work collaboratively in the promotion of the business aspects of eHealth.
